Responsibilities

Join our Information Technology team where you will work on new development / network technologies to meet our customers’ needs and make it easy for them to do business with us. Integrate latest network technologies to keep the Verizon the leading network in the industry from a modeling, inventory, and connectivity perspective.   Automate the circuit provisioning, activation, and order fulfillment for both network and customer initiated requests.   You will work fairly independently on more complex operational & technical projects, issues, systems and applications. You will use your experience, expertise and skills to solve problems that are more difficult & infrequent.

End-to-End Systems Analysis and Design:

• Analyze architecture, relationship between systems, and systems flow of end-to-end designs
• Guide others to assess system usage trends and identify potential performance constraints with inter-system designs
• Evaluate solution’s alignment with the end user experience

Software/ Application Development & Architecture:

• Educate team members about integrating systems collaboratively & efficiently
• Develops systems and applications using complex algorithms to deliver business functions or architectural components
• Develop system architecture that improve designs & mapping form to function

Database Analysis & Design:

• Homogenize and optimize the performance of the Oracle database and optimize system resources
• Support efforts related to the proper protection from corruption & encryption of sensitive information
• Validate that programs are operating on clean, correct and useful data

Testing:

• Execute and modify automated QTP scripts with traceability functionality
• Test business processes/products across applications with an end-to-end process flow

System & Network Security:

• Write scripts to develop programs that improve processing of access requests
• Reduce security threats with dependable & reliable security tools & software applications
• Evaluate how security impacts the design & development process of reliable networks
• Ensure compliance with latest security principles including CPI-810

Technical Product Knowledge:

• Understand a given solution to assess its alignment with business needs
• Understand, maximize, and communicate the business benefits associated with strategic projects.
• Keep abreast of emerging industry trends to continuously update Verizon’s operations and assess how competition differs from Verizon’s current state

Technical Communication:

• Plan, Track, Coordinate incoming projects from PMO organization.
• Understand Telecommunication Network Protocols and Designs
• Communicate the business value of technical solutions
• Discover mutually beneficial solutions across customers while recoginizing different styles.

Qualifications:

• B.S. or equivalent work experience
• Experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
• Project Management, PMP
• Teamwork & collaboration skills to work solutions across organizations and lead cross-functional teams
• Communication & stakeholder management skills
• Problem solving skills to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues
